Basement entry & access improvements
Bring the door, stair, and surrounding construction into one plan.
Plan Your Project ↗
Review the existing entrance
Send photos of the door, frame, stairs, surrounding walls, and exterior grade. Explain whether the goal is replacement, weather protection, improved everyday access, or a broader lower-level renovation. The right scope depends on the existing assembly.
Coordinate weather and water details
Discuss thresholds, adjacent masonry, drainage, and interfaces with waterproofing rather than treating the door as an isolated product. Existing water problems should be identified before new finishes conceal the area.
Agree the finished result
Define removal, installation, hardware, interior repairs, exterior restoration, and any structural or permit work. If you are comparing a walkout with a window system, bring the intended basement use and room plan to that discussion.
